Chicago Homicide Up 50% over last year

In researching some numbers I found out in may 2012 there were 50 recorded homicides by the city of Chicago. As of June 2012 the homicide rate is 50% higher than this time last year. As an activist/blogger and author I feel the percentage is higher than reported. Reports are saying 2-3 homicides a day and supposedly we were averaging 2 homicides a day until the month of June when the average went up to 3 a day. So if the number is correct June 1-26,2012 the homicide rate is already at 78 and this is just for one month and if we add that to the 264 that the city reported as the total homicides from Jan-May now we are up to 342 and June isn’t over yet. Now the weekend June 23-24 there were 4 homicides and 16 shootings now I don’t wanna confuse my readers but the 4 homicides came from the 16 shootings. So if Chicago on average is having multiple shootings every weekend then my math says we are well above 342 homicides. And in May shootings were reported in the 500+ numbers so my math says we have to be heading for a record on both homicides and shootings. But as always the city is going to put out numbers saying we are the same as 2011 or slightly above. No city wants to be tagged murder capital but it is want it is. June 23 the city had a turn in your gun drive and then you still have 16 shootings and the thing with the gun drive is there is no questions asked you just turn in a weapon for cash. Which makes me wonder are any of these weapons checked to see if they were used to commit a homicide and how many of those weapons turned in make it back to the streets. To show you how Chicago is like a war zone we just had a shooting on Michigan Ave in the ritzy downtown area and north siders were in such shock. And the mayor and police chief made sure a heavy police presence was seen immediately but when shootings happen in the inner city of Chicago there is no beefed up police presence. So I take it that the city looks at ritzy downtown and the north side as being more important that the citizens that live on the south,east and westside of the city. Look at it this way all of our money is the same color “green” and people in the inner city vote in elections just as the ritzy folks do. But politicians only care about that when its time to run for office again other than that they don’t come visit the people in the blue color neighborhoods, oh correction I meant people in the ghetto. I’m sure the people who run the city are not saying blue color or inner city behind close doors.

From June 8-10 there were 24 shootings and 3 homicides in the city which brings the homicides up to 264 if that number is accurate and the shootings are now 875 and this is just June what do we expect in July/August. If you ask me someone is getting paid from all this. If I know nothing else I know how the streets and crooked cops and crooked politicians work. The city already knows the Chicago gang situation can be stopped now because all the real leaders are locked up and these guys/gals who claim these gangs (because you can’t call them organizations anymore) due to the fact they are turning on each other from the same set. The original OG’s are locked up,dead or not trying to talk to the so called young guns because they won’t listening anyway. We have organizations who say they are for peace and are against violence but you only see them on TV News after the violence is over. The thing about the organizations who claim they are for the community and have such a pulse on all this then why they are not stepping in sooner. No parent wanna see you on the news or at their front door after the fact saying “THIS IS SENSELESS” Hello!!! we already know this. Cease Fire claims they have such a great track record and a ear to the street then I say don’t talk about it be about it and step in before things get out of hand and pull these so called gangs together behind close doors and squash the disagreement before it gets to people being injured or killed. Because you already know these guys are not fighting because they are afraid to take a punch so what makes they’re coward butts feel good is picking up a gun and pulling the trigger and 90% of the time these idiots shoot and kill and innocent person. I see why a lot of youths stay in their homes playing video games etc.”Hell you may get shot” Oh and before I go Mayor Rahm Emanuel what happen to your words of ” I’m gonna stop the violence” crap you were pushing to the people when you were running. Oops forgot you’re in already so why should you care.
